Kerygma – Greek word meaning “proclamation” and is used 9 times in the Books of the New Testament
Four Elements:
- God loves you and has a plan for your life.
- Our sin has ruined our relationship with God.
- Jesus (who is God and man) came to heal that relationship, through sacrificing his life, rising again, and giving us the Church.
- We have the opportunity to respond, by choosing to have Jesus be our Lord and Savior.
Seven Elements of the Kerygma:
- God loves you and has plan for your life.
- Sin will destroy you.
- Christ Jesus died to save you.
- Repent and believe the Gospel.
- Be Baptized and receive the Holy Spirit.
- Abide in Christ and his body the Church.
- Go make disciples.
